Chris Gerling started out in cryptography and electrical engineering, evolving into a security analyst and enthusiast.  He’s got one of those CISSP certifications, as well as GCFA, and completed GCIH/GSEC as well.

Christopher Mills is a Sr. Security Analyst at a financial company in Tampa, Florida. He manages their threat & vulnerability assessment program. Prior to Tampa, Chris spent six years as a network security specialist in the US Navy and served as the Navy Computer Forensics Lab manager. Chris is experienced in the areas of computer forensics, incident response, network traffic analysis, risk management, and threat analysis.

Andrew Borel

Andrew is a production assistant for SecuraBit.  Much of the work is behind the scenes including editing audio and typing up show notes. His day job is working with corporate accounting systems, and making sense of information out of old databases. In his free time he is learning as much as possible about computer security, and fixing family and friend’s computers.

Liquid – Mike Bailey, CISSP | MCITP

Mike is a System Security Engineer with a financial security consulting company in Northern VA. He works on vulnerablity assessments, pen tests and compliance issues around the US. Mike grew up with computers, ran BBSes in the early 90’s, and got on the internet when it was nothing but message boards, chat and porn….Mike current focus is logging, SIEM, Malware Analysis and virtualization. He is currently the primary admin for our labs.

Bart Hopper, CISSP | Security+ | MCSE | OCP | Master ACE

Bart is a veteran in the IT field. His first experiences with computers involved typing and debugging programs from the Compute’s Gazette. He allegedly kept his sanity working as a Network Administrator in a multi-platform environment during the first Internet Boom, the Y2K remediation Death March, and the DotCom Collapse. His interest in security began when he stumbled upon the first HOPE conference. Bart is currently a Security Analyst at a financial company in Nashville, Tennessee.

 

Anthony Gartner

Anthony Gartner is a multifaceted Network engineer working with a variety of businesses.  Running his own company called Computer-Net Solutions, he maintains many servers though out the Virginia Area. He is certified as a Windows 2003 Network Engineer from Tidewater Community College. Some of his credentials include: Microsoft Small Business Server, A+, Quickbooks Pro Advisor, and Retail Solutions Provider.

 

Jason Mueller

Jason Mueller was a senior security analyst with the US Navy.  He started out as a sysadmin and evolved into a network engineer and from there into the security field.  Since then, he’s refined his security skill set and has significant experience in CERT/SOC operations ranging from incident response to digital forensics and behavioral malware analysis.  He is currently located in the heart of our nation’s capital where he is a systems engineer at NetWitness.

 

Myne-Us

Myne-Us is an exploit developer and ran the SecuraBit Exploit Group, and also did podcasts for that group.

    Tidewater community college is near VA beach right? I used to work in a certain military installation near hampton.

    Yeah it is, there are actually a couple campuses located in the Virginia Beach/Hampton area.
